Welcome

We met on the fateful night of November 20, 2008 in Clarksville, Tennessee. James had just returned from Iraq the week before and decided to celebrate with a friend. Rita was also out celebrating with friends but had to leave early to drop one of them back home. Both were unaware that they had been celebrating in the same place. As Rita and her friend were pulling back into the parking lot, James and his friend were pulling out getting ready to head home. Rita 's friend caught James friend attention and they started talking. James looked over and saw Rita and knew she was the one he wanted, even if the feelings were not mutual. They did not start on the best foot but eventually James was able to find his way into her heart.

In March, James departed from the Army and was ready to fulfill his dream to attend college in Virginia where he was already accepted to before he had met Rita. Both believed that there was a strong connection between them so they decided to move in with each other so they could spend the remaining time together before he left for college. After finishing his freshman year of college, James knew that he did not want to be with anyone but Rita and could not bear the thought of Rita being with someone else. In the summer of 2010, James proposed to Rita and she gladly said yes. Even though they are in a long distance relationship they know that their love, commitment, and trust are strong enough to make it through and has made their bond even stronger.

We chose Gatlinburg because it is a small peaceful town located in the Smoky Mountains that offers a change from our busy lives. The beautiful scenery, nature, and breathtaking views made it a perfect choice for us. Space is limited so we ask that you please limit total number in party to two people. Sorry for any inconvience that this may cause.

After the wedding, stay for the reception which will give everyone a chance to dance, eat, and share laughs with the Bride and Groom while also expressing your wishes to us.The location will be announced after the wedding ceremony ends.

Gatlinburg is about 45 minutes from Knoxville. It is our recommendation that guests drive because there are only regional airports around the area which charge a higher flat rate for flights. Gatlinburg offers many places to eat, as well as attractions such as Dollywood, Ripley's believe it or not Aquarium, Helicopter rides, Ski Lifts, Zip lines, Go carts, and much more. No matter what your taste, Gatlinburg has something to fit your interests.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our Wedding page and Honeymoon registry.
